Terms of Service

By accessing or using Crafted Stories, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our app.

Crafted Stories is a mobile application that creates personalized children's storybooks using artificial intelligence. Users can input child information, upload photos, and customize story preferences to generate unique stories with illustrations and narration. AI-generated content may vary between generations and is not guaranteed to produce identical results each time.

Crafted Stories offers both free and paid subscription plans. Free users receive 2 stories per week. Paid subscriptions provide additional story generation capacity and features.

Subscription Plans: We offer weekly ($4.99/week), monthly ($14.99/month), and annual ($249.99/year) auto-renewable subscriptions.

Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate.

Managing Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple. For refund requests, please visit Apple's support page or contact Apple directly.

You agree to:

• Use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms

• Provide accurate information when creating stories

• Upload only photos you own or have explicit permission to use

• Upload only appropriate photos suitable for a children's storytelling context

• Supervise children's use of the app and ensure parental consent

• Respect all intellectual property rights and applicable laws

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all photos and personal information you provide. By using our app, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use this content solely to generate your personalized stories. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any other purpose.

Generated Content: Stories and illustrations created by our AI are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not resell, distribute commercially, or claim ownership of the AI-generated content. All commercial rights remain with Crafted Stories.

App Content: The Crafted Stories app, its name, logo, design, algorithms, and underlying technology are our exclusive property and are protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our app, you agree to our privacy practices.

You may not:

• Use the app for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose

• Upload inappropriate, offensive, copyrighted, or infringing content

• Upload photos of individuals without their consent or their guardian's consent

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app

• Use automated systems, bots, or scrapers to access the app

• Interfere with the app's operation, security, or other users' experience

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations while using our service

Crafted Stories is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure

• Generated content will meet your expectations or requirements

• AI-generated stories and illustrations will be identical across multiple generations

• All features will be available at all times

• Any defects will be corrected or that the service will be compatible with your device

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Crafted Stories immediately, without prior notice, for any reason including but not limited to violations of these terms, illegal activity, or misuse of the service.

You may terminate your use of the service at any time by deleting your account in the app's Settings and removing the app from your device. Upon termination, all provisions that should survive termination shall remain in effect.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Crafted Stories, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and third-party partners from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights; or (d) any content you upload or share through the service.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Texas. By using this service, you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at craftedstoriesapp@gmail.com and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally.

Binding Arbitration: If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and Crafted Stories agree to resolve any claims through final and binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between you and Crafted Stories individually. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

This arbitration provision does not apply to residents of the European Union or jurisdictions where such agreements are not enforceable.

Crafted Stories shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, fire, floods, pandemics, internet or infrastructure outages, or failure of third-party service providers. In such events, our obligations are suspended for the duration of the event.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Crafted Stories regarding the service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
